Painful/sensitive nipples - help?

I've been experiencing painful and sensitive nipples for almost 2 weeks. I never get ovulation/pre-period breast pain this bad. It's always very mild and more towards the start of my period. This time it happened like 11 days ago and it's gotten worse. I don't know what it could be as I've eliminated pregnancy (took one today and negative). The slightest touch will really hurt. They've quite erect (sorry for TMI) and sore. I don't know if this is anything to do with it, but I did have blood streaks a couple of days before the start of soreness. Any help appreciated.

Go to the doctors and get it checked out, especially if you’ve had blood from your nipples.

It may just be an infection, but it could be something more serious. Get it checked out ASAP!
