Great timing, ill at Christmas

I have a long term health condition which is generally well managed by medication so I rarely feel ill. Of course, as its Christmas even I've woken up with a swollen and itchy face, I can't close my bloody mouth and I feel shocking.Angry This is my first flare up in over two years and I'm really fed up at the timing. I'm not sure why I've started this thread, just wanted a little moan before I go and put a (wonky, painful) smile on my face and try to enjoy Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone!

You poor soul do the flare ups last long ?

EnglishGirlApproximately · 24/12/2019 08:39

Normally a few days, so of course I'll be fine to go back to work next week Hmm I'll be fine I'm used to it just having a little pity party this morning, DP only has today and tomorrow if work so our Christmas is very short.

I’m so so sorry. That’s shitty timing. How long will you be under the weather for do you think? Not sure what your plans are over Xmas but any chance of a do over or something nice to look forward to over NY?

Mrsjayy · 24/12/2019 08:46

Ach thats just rubbish as you said wonky smile painted on .

Unfortunately new year doesn't really happen for us, a combination of lack of childcare and DP working on New Years day means we really even stay up until midnight. Right, no more feeling sorry for myself going to go and face the day. Thanks for listening, sometimes a good whinge is all you need Smile

How are you
Feeling op? Is it auto immune or anaphylaxis?? You poor thing. Sounds awful. I hope you feel better soon.

Flossie I woke up much better today which was a relief, sometimes it's a quick flare up sometimes ongoing so I was lucky this time and managed to have a good day. Its auto immune, I have a lovely condition called urticaria vasculitus, which is mostly controlled with meds. Hope it's been a lovely day for everyone Smile
