Has anyone had experience of this pill? Good or bad? I’m 46 and my periods have started to come closer together, the last one was only 21 days, which is a huge pain (literally) because they are both heavy and agony. I assume I am perimenopausal, although no other symptoms. My periods have been a nightmare since I was a child, but there is nothing actually wrong with me - I was referred to gynae at 12, and have had various tests and scans over the years.

At my recent smear appointment I discussed it with the nurse, who suggested either this or the Mirena coil. I didn’t much fancy the coil, and figure I can at least stop the pill if it doesn’t agree with me. If anyone has experiences to share I would be glad to hear them?

Prostogen only pills stopped my periods, great! Awful mood swings amd border line depression. Didn't realise how bad it was, been off them just over 4 weeks and back to myself. My partner is a lot happier too as apparently I'm no longer all doom and gloom lol

Oh, no, that was my experience on POP previously - except they made sod all difference to my periods! I had hoped things had changed. 🙁
