Amitryptiline for migraine

I’m considering this as have regular migraines and also poor sleep, which ami can help with. I’m worried about effects on my thinking as my short-term memory is already not great, as I’m dyspraxic plus have a lot to juggle with young DC. Also I’m worried about the link of this drug with dementia (a very big study showed it raises your risk of getting dementia later in life by 13%). Wondering if anyone has a sense if low dose is less risky? Will ask my GP. Any experiences of taking it for migraine/sleep? How did you feel?
