Mole on labia - will I be able to get it removed?

Got what can only be described as a witch mole on my outer labia, so the hairy bit, really handy for personal grooming - it’s quite large, flesh coloured and spherical, so protruding instead of flat.
It’s hard to keep an eye on and awkward for nicking with a razor and I was wondering if I would be able to get it removed or whether I’d have to go private?
I do need to get it checked as I’m unsure as to whether it’s got a little bigger, although I’m eight months pregnant at the moment so everything down there is rather ahem swollen, so it could be that.
I really hate it, it’s been there for a good while and doesn’t fit any of the worrying criteria apart from the fact it’s quite large, so I’m thinking I’d probably have to pay to get rid?

No, you won’t have to go private.

Given that it’s causing you pain and inconvenience, that is grounds for removal on the NHS.

Depending on your GP surgery, there may be a GP there who does a minor ops session. If not, they’ll refer you to have it done.

I had a mole removed on my back a few years ago. The dermatologist did it didn't look anything sinister but agreed to remove it as it was right under my bra strap and was annoying. All done under local anaesthetic at my local health centre on the NHS.

I can’t imagine the NHS will fund the removal of a mole just because it’s large.

That was me guessing that catching it on a razor must be painful. Apologies.

And, speaking as a GP who does a weekly minor ops session, I regularly remove lesions of this sort. If it’s causing a nuisance to the patient, the NHS will cover it.

It doesn’t cause pain generally only if I catch it. Which is why I didn’t think the NHS would fund it (unless the doctor decides it looks dodgy of course but hopefully he won’t) as it’s more an annoyance than a problem and lots of
Other people probably have more pressing needs!

I really hate it though. I will go and have it checked and then maybe look into doing it privately if it all looks safe and ok and doctor doesn’t think my cackhandedness with a razor is enough of a reason
