I wondered if anyone had gone the gynaecology route for menstrual migraine, rather then GP/neurologist? I’ve tried Mirena coil for menstrual migraine and super heavy periods but feel (5 months in), that if anything it’s made migraines more frequent. I also get mood swings and bad PMS on it. I got on well with combined contraceptive pill for many years before having kids: had hardly any migraines and it helped keep my mood stable. I just know that I need help right now sorting my hormones out, but not finding GP very helpful, and wondering about paying for one off gynae consultation.
