Thyroid will it get better?

I was diagnosed hypothyroid earlier in the year, started 50mcg thyroxine and felt instantly better, lasted about 3 months before I started feeling like death again. My numbers don't look bad at all, Tsh 3 and t4. 15 but I am so tired, I can sleep 9 hours at night, 3 hours in the day and I'm still tired. Tablets upped to 75mcg 2 weeks ago and drs said they'll up to 100 next week if I'm not better but I'm starting to worry this is just how I'm going to feel for the rest of my life. I'm trying to stay active and eat well nothing is making any difference. Please someone tell me positive stories.

What are your iron levels like? As well as Vit D levels? You say you were diagnosed 'earlier in the year' has the tiredness coincided with darker less sunny (less vitamin D) days? Vit D is essential to hypothyroid sufferers, particularly if you have Hashimotos disease.

TSH of 3 would leave me feeling hideous. Get down to 1 and see how you feel.

I'm hypothyroid and was also found to have anaemia caused by very low folic acid levels. I wonder if there's something else going on as well as the thyroid? Could you ask for further blood tests, especially as your thyroid levels aren't necessarily reflecting how you feel? Maybe there's something else going on, like B12 or folic acid...

I take daily vit d as that was low and my iron was also low, think maybe I need the full service bloods again. I stopped taking iron (been taking it for a year) as I read it interferes with absorption of thyroxine. The dr did say he want3d me to have Tsh of under 2 ideally. Seems like such small numbers to make such a difference.

You're fine if you take iron 3 hours after lt. I do.
