Antibiotics are the worst

Was back in hospital with newborn DS last week as he was loosing weight. While I was there they spotted cellulitis on my stomach. They put me on a high-ish dose of Flucloxacillin. The infection had absolutely no affect on me, I felt fine, obs we're fine.
Antibiotics are making me feel crappy! DH is back at work now and I just feel rotten, tired, sick, and I have the most upset stomach, I'm scared to eat as I have yet to figure out leaving the baby in another room! I don't think I've taken antibiotics since I was a child and I had no idea they would make me feel like this!
Anyone know how long this is likely to last for? Today is the last day of my course.

Flucloxacillin does this to me. You should go back to normal after taking your last dose. You have to follow the rules about when and what to eat. No milk and no zinc or vitamins with my last ones.
You sound like you have avoided the thrush though 🙂

The only rule they told me was when to eat not what! It's a miracle I didn't get thrush if it causes that because I had it right through my pregnancy from start to end!

I had a week long course of flucloxicillin 6 weeks ago and I’ve only just stopped having diarrhea. Horrid horrid stuff I will never take it agajn

Oh @missnevermind just been to the drs, didn't avoid thrush it just took hold around my c-section incision. And the antibiotics didn't work, I now have a weeks course of stronger ones.

Sorry Blush I feel like I caused that now.

I get on better with the stronger ones funnily enough. Less side effects rather than more. I do take a lot of them though for skin infections including regular bouts of cellulitis.
