she has mentioned it a couple of times in the last 3 weeks, but yesterday and today said they were sore.i think she is starting puberty(had to get her some deoderant a few weeks ago,she has started to get hips and she is having major mood swings).i cant see anything 'wrong' in the nipple area, though they do look slightly enlarged(sorry TMI).

is it a normal puberty thing or should i take her to the doctor tomorrow?

Yes, I think it's puberty. I remember getting that too at around the same age, and my mum reassuring me that it was OK.

Normal I think. My mum took me to the doctors when I developed a lump on my breast and was very to be told it was the very normal start of breast development. She says she just couldn't remember having anything similar happen to her.

Perfectly normal imho. Its the start of things to come I'm afraid!

thank you, thats what i thought but didnt want to overlook something potentially dodgey(but didnt want to look silly at the doctors either).

can i just send her to my mums and have her back when shes 14?my mum has experience of hormonal girls.

right.how to cope with puberty in one dd whilst another dd goes through the terrible 2's.oh,and throw a teething baby in for good measure.

My DD 9.11 next month started complaining about her boobs being sore about 6 months ago, now she has definitely started to develop and is incredibly hormonal.
