Anyone else having a bad bug year? Seriously getting me down. Both my two dd's are at nursery and have been for a while, but this year it's been cold after flu after chest infection! Kids haven't been bad but I've been felled. I'm now under the asthma nurse to see if my persistent cough and chesty-ness are asthma related. Feeling blue and just wondered if anyone else was feeling the same? Sad

Similar happened to me after my first child and it turned out to be asthma. I now realise I'd had and managed (normalised) the symptoms all my life I think actually; it was mild and non allergic, viruses and chemicals and smoke. I got a lot worse after my son which is when I was diagnosed.

Blue inhalers made enough of a difference to qualify for the brown which is when a lot of things improved. Now on a dual pink as I was worse again after my second child!

I hope you feel better soon.

If it's helpful it seems to be a bad year in this area. Huge staff absence and a few schools have closed due to both pupil and staff absences.

Thanks for the replies. My youngest DD is 2.5 and I've had no asthma symptoms before this year. I had flu last Xmas, colds and sniffles all summer ( kids had some of them too). Then I had a chest infection. I'm just starting to wonder if it's asthma (which I'm being investigated for) or just sooo many infections my system is suffering.Sad
