Switching to Mirena after POP

Hi all. I’m interested in switching contraception from the progesterone only pill to the mirena IUS and was wondering if anyone has any experience of this?

I’ve been on the POP for a long time and don’t get periods. The symptoms that you get when you first start Mirena don’t sound appealing to me, but I was hoping that because I am already on a progesterone only method I would continue to not have any periods and avoid the dreaded months of irregular spotting.

I went from cerazette to mirena and think I only had 1 period before they stopped (cerazette stopped them too). I had very very occasional spotting over the 5 years I had the mirena
