Hi,

I started with a cold on Monday. I had mild achy body with it so it could of been a mild dose of the flu too as I did feel very poorly!

Wednesday night early hours thurs morn I woke up drenched in sweat & again last night (thurs- early hours Friday ) I woke up sweating again. Not drenched but still woke me up sweating.

Thursday I just started feeling better. Still full of a cold but not making me feel dreadful.

Anyway is this normal? I suffer very badly with health anxiety

Thank you

Night sweats are rotten! I get them because of sertraline and being pregnant (the combination set them off again after having got them under control!)

They’re pretty normal (if deeply unpleasant), and in your case probably due to a slight increase in your temp at night combined with warm bedclothes. From one anxiety sufferer to another, I wouldn’t worry too much. Just see whether they continue once your coldy symptoms have died down. They’re very rarely a sign of anything sinister, though!
