My partner woke up this morning with back pain and we thought my a kidney infection as he said he had trouble going to the toilet plus said hes had a splitting sore head since wed night which I didnt know this morning went to out of hours and they were more concerned about his headache so sent him up to hospital
As I was out I couldnt go with him so far all I know is they've took bloods and sent him for a scan on the brain now apparently going to do a lumbar puncture as hes still complaining of a sore head
They think maybe a small bleed
What is the treatment for this or could it be a bad migraine
He does nightshift as a carer for dementia so stress is common he has a vape but does still a occasional fag if hes stressed

They'll need to make sure of what's going on first. Having said that I've heard of very severe headaches which were indeed caused by a migrane. Hope you'll soon know more.

I had a small brain bleed last year, mine started with a severe headache whicu wouldn't go. Treatment was simple enough just put on blood thinners for 6 months but that was because i had a clot.
They need to find out what caused bleed first. Wish you both all the best x

How’s things? My daughter had a huge bleed in her brain when she was 15, 3 years in and she’s doing well.

Good news no sign of a kidney infection back pain might be just muscular as hes a carer for dementia so could have done something while moving a resident as for head scan came back clear so did bloods took a 2nd attempt to get fluid from spine and that came back clear too
Heads kinda of getting better not as bad as its was been told to take paracetamol and ibuprofen and if no improvement or gets worse to head back in
So far he seems ok just really tired might explain why he was up early doors the past 2 days so fingers crossed
