Mole Clinic London

Does anyone have any experience of the Mole Clinic in London? I'm very fair and freckly and have had more than my fair share of sun burn over the years so I'm really worried about developing skin cancer.

I love the idea of getting a yearly check from someone who can pick up anything dodgy nice and early but I've also heard that the high street mole checking places can be a waste of money.

Has anyone been to the Mole Clinic in London or somewhere similar? Would you recommend it?

@Wilberforce1 Isee the one in the City every year. Checks are done by nurses but they are well trained. I come from a country where annual mole checks are normal if you’re fair.

It’s probably only worth doing if you have private health insurance to deal with any dermatology referrals.

Yes, I've been there. All fine; good service. They should keep records so they can compare year on year.

We have private healthcare through dh's work so that would be ok.

I go to a clinic every year too, they take full body photos plus close ups of possibly dodgy ones. They software they use automatically compared to the previous pics.

I go to a place in Essex run by the dermatologist who I get referrals to on my PHI.

I have a family history of MM and have had a couple of moles removed so this gives me peace of mind.

@Chewbecca do you mind if I ask the name of the clinic? I'm only in Kent.

Of course, it is Dr Khorshid clinic, in Billericay. His assistant does the mole mapping and he reviews.
Obviously not a slick website or organisation but they have the software which does the job I want!
