Depo/bleeding whilst unwell

I just wondered if anyone has a clue about this, I have been ill for about a week, achy nauseous, choked up headache etc but also started to bleed at the weekend. Just a small amount then but heavier as week has progressed I think it’s from being unwell but have been on depo as contraception for a few years - pill doesn’t agree and have no periods bleeding at all otherwise no cramps or anything.

Will make appointment for gp as want to change to something else but for now it’s got 6 weeks till needs renewed. And also due a smear.

Do you normally bleed on the depo? Some women continue to have periods others don't. I've been on it for 10 years and have had a couple of occasions where I have bled lightly but it's been because I have been really stressed. Other than that it's stopped my periods completely.

Nope occasionally spotting but rarely so it’s a bit weird and haven’t found anything online to say it’s something that happens when unwell I feel ok in that respect no pain or anything just blood. Just rest of me that feels horrible.
