Tummy ache before a cold?

Do you get a tummy ache before a cold?

I've got that tickly premonition feeling in the back of my nose and throat, and a vague crampy ache in my belly. The ache is nothing like usual aches one gets - not menstrual, not trapped wind, not indigestion - and it just occurred to me that I only ever get this specific ache before I come down with a cold.

Do others get it too? Dh had no idea what I was talking about when I asked him just now. (But then DH is the type who doesn't get ill and rarely seeks medical attention.)

You have gLands in your abdomen that can swell when you're fighting infection, just like the ones in your throat.

The pain this causes is often mistaken for appendicitis.

Yes, I’ve got this today actually as I’m fighting off a throat thing. I definitely think it’s my glands fighting infection.

Glands, yes, that's probably what it is.

Yes, I’ve just had this. Aching, tickly throat and slight abdo discomfort. My mesenteric lymph nodes always react to a viral infection.
