I have had a very sore throat for a week now. It responds well to pain killers and almost disappear s when I take them every four hours. The rest of my family have had a cold this week and have been off work and school for two days. I have soldiered on. I just assumed we had a variation of the same virus. A week seems a long time. Should I visit the doctor or just wait it out? By the way, I had my tonsils out when I was 8.
