Funnily enough DS2 has just (like, this afternoon) had his boosters.

1 for DTP and one for MMR. One in each arm, no tears or anything what a brave boy.

Or has yr ds had no jabs at all all his life??

quadrophenia · 17/08/2007 18:53

oh no he has had jabs but none since his mmr first time round

so its not unusual for it to be left this late then

My DD was due to have hers today but I postponed as DS2 has chicken pox. She is having her pre school booster in 2 weeks but not the MMR bit.

quadrophenia · 17/08/2007 18:59

think I will ring gp tomorrow as we haven't heard a dickie bird

My dd was missed off the GPs list for her pre school boosters. I phoned them up to arrange them myself and she had them done before christmas which was the end of her first term at school. She was very tired and had a temperature on and off for about a week IIRC, had I known that I might have got them done before the school term started.

DS2 had his just after he turned 4, last October. He starts school in a couple of weeks.

My 2 dss had their pre-boosters recently, ds1 is nearly 7 and ds2 is 5, so no, I don't think there's any hurry.

Our docs doesn't call you for pre-school boosters.

I meant to do it before the end of term but made an apt and then forgot hence the lateness.

I think it's a good idea sooner rather than later girls as MMR can give a fever/rash 7-10 days later and you don't want that at the start of term.
