I did'nt see it just heard a bang, she has a fat lip and the gum above her front teeth is all red and bleeding, she had paint of the door on her teeth , she seems ok but im worried about her teeth.

Its hard to look in her mouth as she keeps pushing me away.

DD1 fell off her little scoot-along thing (she was standing on it to get to the worktop ) aged about 21 months - there was buckets of blood, fat lip and swollen gum, and a bit of her lower lip was almost sliced off (ow), but it all healed up fine despite the fact that she continued to fall flat on her face on a regular basis over the next 6 months or so. (I was waiting for someone to report me to SS.)

Our neighbour was a nurse and she did manage to get a look but she told me there's v little to be done with mouth injuries like this unless really major.

DD1 has a faint white scar on the lip to this day (she is 25 now) but is otherwise fine.

I seem to be having a bad day, before this happened, dd1 locked me in the back garden

Will she eat a nice cold lolly or icecream or cold drink? That will help with swelling.

Hope it stops hurting soon (but I honestly think, once the shock wears off, it hurts us more to look at it )

She seems ok, i think i'm in more shock than her, when i try and look in her mouth she laughs at me, she's only 16 months but alot tougher than dd1.
