Angina - do walking poles help?

I have been diagnosed with microvascular angina and find it hard to walk any distance (especially uphill) without chest pains. I live in a rural area and used to love countryside walking as exercise but find I am doing less and less because of this. Would investing in a pair of walking poles help me pace myself and relieve some of the stress on my chest, or would I end up just lugging them about? Any other tips for walking more comfortably?

Not sure re walking poles as that would be more like a full body work out and more exertion. Maybe get your meds reviewed, use gtn spray prior to exercise?
