oh poop, dd2 toe is green

i took a splinter out at the beginning fo the week. she has just shown me her toe and around where i took the splinter out (just pushede it out) is green and hard, and i think i can stil lsee some of the splinter in there.

oh dear, will she let you soak it in hot water and dettol. if it softens up you could squeeze ou teh pus and the splinter will probably come too.

or a bath if that is impractical.

Sounds like a bit of pus and a localised infection. a trip to the doc is probably required to get the remainder out and give it a good clean.

Hot water and salt is really good.
You can usually see the gunky stuff come out!

Other than that go to Boots or your local chemist and get some Magnesium Sulphate paste as it will draw out the remaining splinter.

word of warning

when I had a splinter in my thumb they dressed it for a few days then I had to go back and have injection (was to either draw out the crap or it was ab's) but the needle was huuuuuuuuge!

has been given anti biotics and paracetamol and to keep an eye on it.

At least you are home nad can get them to bed.
