Felt very unwell yesterday. Chest pains, breathlessness and racing heart. Doctor was immediately concerned of a pulmonary embolism, risk factor being I'm on the pill.
Several hours later I'm discharged from hospital with pneumonia, antibiotics and bed rest to try and ease my tachycardia.
It's really scared me that their first thought was a blood clot and I'm wondering how common they are when taking the pill. Is it worth coming off the pill?
