Cervical ectropion treatment advice?

I had a tiny cervical ectropion, the gynaecologist said he wouldn’t have bothered to treat it had I not already been referred. That it was normal in young people due to hormonal changes etc.

He treated it with silver nitrate and gave the usual advice, no sex/tampons/baths for 3 weeks. For the first 14 days I had the expected discharge but after that everything was normal.

On day 22 after treatment I had sex, it wasn’t painful but I did instantly start bleeding. Is this normal? I’m just worried that I may have messed up the healing process.
