Mesh Removal

Has anyone had the Vaginal mesh removal surgery? this is due to a faulty application of the Bladder tape and I now have the erosion protruding inside, its actually visible blue netting type material
I'm due for a removal as best as the new (fantastic) surgeon can remove of course,
has anyone been through the removal ?
I have only had it 12 weeks, so yeah completely let down buy my old surgeon

I'm sorry to hear you are having to have this surgery. I don't have any experience of mesh removal but there are two Facebook groups I'd recommend that will have people on who can help:

Do they still use mesh after the problems with them come out?

Thanks all, no he's refusing to use this mesh again he specializes in fixing this type of thing. I'm in the US ( but from uk) so not NHS
there are options of using your own body tissue or another type that is not actual plastic, but I'm having removal & maybe if needed when I'm older look at an option again, I didn't really need the bladder sling in the first place was done during my Hysterectomy - as I only had very mild stress incontinence only when jumping on trampoline etc, but like I said I'm in the US so I feel she did this for the $$$ removal is from the vaginal wall, I was wondering what recovery was like, Will check out facebook- Thank you
