Leg pain at night when lying on side

Anyone else been woken up by leg pain/ache on the side you’re lying on at night, which goes if you lie on the other side, but then you get the same pain on that side? (No pain when lying on back) thank you :-)

Yep. Had it since I had DS1. It helps if I stretch my hips out before bed. Hard beds also aggravate it. After ds1 I had physio for it and he had me doing strength exercises which did help. Since ds2 it hasn't been as bad but I haven't been doing the exercises so it's not going away.

I've had pain in my hip bones at night lying on side - got referred to hip specialist who did xrays etc . I gave gluteal tendonitis have to do exercises...worth getting checked out if carries on

Yes it has started happening recently. Hip/bum pain and sometimes down to my foot. I couldn't lie on my side at all for a while.
I have started having fortnightly deep sports massages which have been very effective. Apparently tight flexors can cause this pain, so a good massage is very helpful.
