Hormone Imbalance?? Help please!!

Hi,
I have an appointment with a dermatologist at a private hospital tomorrow and I just wanted to ask some advice...
I’ve been experiencing hairloss and excessively oily skin for the last six months. Am I completely wrong to assume these are in some way linked to a hormone imbalance?? Both started at around the same time. At the time I was on the pill Marvelon but have been off for nearly three months with no improvement. Can my own hormone change and cause these symptoms even when I’m on the pill?? Any help would be massively appreciated!!!

Sorry only just seen your post, and interested in what th dermatologist had to say,i have been suffering hairloss for the last 9-12 months, no idea why really, but saw a dermatologist 2 weeks ago,who thinks it is most likely down to stress,he said it is Telogen Effluvium,, not Androgenic alopecia caused by hormones,
My Dr gave me some HRT which he thought would help, because of the oestrogen, but unfortunately the progesterone was the worst kind for hair and i lost more hair, don't have greasy skin though

@Sarahlouiseis33 , ask MNHQ to move this to General Health and you should get some replies. In fact I'll report it for you. You've posted on the Style and Beauty
board.

Are you under any stress? I had a very similar experience and when the stress stopped it calmed down a lot. I put mine down to an autoimmune / inflammatory response to stress.

PS you're not using an IPL machine are you? Mine seemed to be triggered off by that also .

You coykd be oestrogen dominant - googke it to take a quiz to determine if you are.
If you are, get DIM supplement from Amazon - it has changed my life - oiliness gone, spots gone, more hair growth, weight loss, more energy.

Hi OP, we've moved this for you now.
