Periods gone haywire

I’ve been tracking my cycles for about a year now. Typically they last between 22-26 days.

My last but one period was a freak 16 day cycle, followed by a normal 22 day cycle. I’m currently on day 31 and no sign of my period or the normal symptoms I get just beforehand.

I’ve always had painful periods, needing mefenamic acid to manage them. Since June I’ve needed codeine to mange the first day of my period.

I’ve made a GP appt but they can’t see me until next week and I’m so anxious about what’s going on.

I've had normal periods for decades and in the past 6 months I've missed one, had longer and shorter cycles and they're heavier. After years and years of normality.

I had blood tests and I had a scan. All normal. I'm 47 so I think the answer is peri menopausal

If you're not of menopause age then see your doctor

I’m 28 so hopefully not menopause related. I have a GP appt but not until next week, hence the post.
