Sinus headache

Please stop me literally blowing my head off.

I’ve had a sinus headache/cold for 2 weeks. Only codeine and Sudafed alternated religiously with ibuprofen makes any dent in the pain/pressure. But I am on day 5 of codeine which is not v cool. And no real improvement in symptoms.

What will get rid that I can try?!?!

Maybe Seeing your GP as that doesn’t sound normal.

Rub vicks lightly round your sinus or a dollop in hot water with a towel over to inhale the stream. The gp will sometime give antibiotics for bad sinus infection.
I also use nelson remedies, which I find work for me.
Hope your felling better soon.

It sounds weird, but the only thing that helps me is a hot water bottle on my face and head!

Vicks and Syndol

FreeButtonBee · 10/10/2019 22:24

I haven’t done vicks - will try tonight. Might even do the ‘socks on vicks on soles of feet’ thing. Worth a try

@Sparky888 I am v close to going to the doctor but you know what it’s like - am I wasting their time? But it does feel like I might have to go antibiotics now.

Try Sinutab, an antihistamine & a Pepsi Max, then lie down for an hour.
