Hi I know this isn't the kind of forum for this stuff but just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to clear this bloody infection from my daith piercing! Have been using saline solution and tea tree oil and it doesn't seem to be budging AngrySad regretting the piercing already and I've only had it in 6 weeks. Thanks in advance x

I would go straight back to your piercer if I were you, they'll clean it up well and get the bits you can't reach. Daiths are an absolute bugger to heal, mine has taken over a year! Sad also - avoid tea tree oil if you can, it'll just irritate it. All you want on that is clean water and saline spray (or contact lens solution, most big supermarkets sell it cheaply).

Apologies, you're already using saline. That's all it needs :)

Oh, and get a travel pillow for sleeping on if you haven't got one already. Absolute godsend.

You need to be careful with tea tree. I can be really good for drying up the keloid (the external scar tissue bump) but it is not so good if it goes inside so use that with caution or perhaps just stick to the saline until it calms down a lot. I would go back to your piercer and have them take a proper look at it and take it from there. Also goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway) that you should ensure there isn't any hair product like hair spray etc getting into it and make sure you aren't twisting or touching it. Hope you get it sorted soon

@aliensprig @passionfruit11 thanks both! Will give the tea tree a miss and carry on with the saline and see how it goesGrin fingers crossed the hideous bump goes soon.. I'm a nightmare with piercings and still continue to get them Envy xx

Sea Salt water, warm then rinse with cooled boiled water every other day

Then cool setting blow drying, every time it gets wet you must dry it

My daith only healed once I do that

Hi, I got my daith pierced and had a similar problem! I also had the same issue with my helix and Tragus..think my cartilage hates piercings!! I used salt and warm water for ages which did help but it kept coming back up when I stopped so I thought to try putting sudocrem on all my piercings everyday and there are now no keloid scars or pains at all. I do it every night before bed and the lumps and sores all disappeared within a few weeks! This may not work for you but definitely worth a try as I believe it's what helped mine heal xx
