Nurse home visit

I am on crutches at home after a knee op. My stitches were removed this week but I need the dressing taken off. Bit worried as my leg brace will be directly over the scar so expect I will need another dressing on.

Question is how do I ask a community nurse to do it! Via GP? I can’t get out of the house.

You need to call your GP surgery. Unless there is a very good reason why you can’t leave the house then you will be expected to make an appointment with the practice nurse.

If you really can’t get to the surgery then they can arrange for the community nurse to visit you.
