I got diagnosed with it in March, and have had some really bad flare ups , especially recently.
I have been getting vision problems. Its hard to describe, but sometimes (especially if I'm tired) I get like a shadow or a shape ion my eye if I turn my head or move my eyes quickly to the side. I had to lean ove rhte bath to wash my hair the otehr day because our shower is broken, and when i lifted my head up I kept seeing what looked like a shadow. I had my eyes looked at by the doc, and an eye test last year. Just wondering if vision problems are something connected to the FMS.
Like I said they aren't there all teh time I only seem to notice them if I'm really tired

My mum has Fibromyalgia, and i dont think i can recall her ever mentioning problems with her eyes.
Also, i've read a fair bit about it but dont recall anything about eyes being mentioned.

I think you should probably go back to your GP/Optician and get it checked out, you dont want to take any chances with your eyesight.

Thanks JV.
Does your mum have pain all the time? I think I'm relatively lucky with mine as I don't have pain all the time - maybe about 80% of the time. Mind you it's a while since I had a really good day i've forgotten what they feel like

Yes, i think she does have some level of pain all the time sadly.
Sometimes, of course, its worse than others.
After a walk for instance, or if she has been on a long-ish car journey and unable to move much.
She finds it hard to get the balance right between taking the medication for the pain and not getting too knocked out by the pain-killers.
Fingers crossed, i think she's well over-due a good period.

Fibromyalgia can be really different for different people - the term fibromyalgia describes a syndrome (a cluster of symptoms) rather than a disease (specific symptoms common to everyone who gets it). Problems with vision are part of the FMS syndrome, tho usually I've heard it described mainly as blurry vision and 'spots' in front of eyes rather than shadows. If you've had an eye test to rule out other causes, than it might well be FMS. Sounds likelyto be FMS if it happens more when you are tired....

Have you had a chance to check out some of the internet advice/support networks for FMS? This one has links to local UK support groups too... if you've only recently been diagnosed, it might be useful? www.fibromyalgia-associationuk.org
