Had bloods done yesterday which showed elevated platelet count - 459 .
GP has advised retesting in 6 weeks as previous blood test was back in 2016 and showed slightly elevated count on my memory but we can't find the test results and she's having to request them .
2016 - Have previously had IBS symptoms and was investigated for IBD but I refused colonoscopy as have severe anxiety over invasive medical procedures and would have to have a general . Haven't had any symptoms since .
Has anyone had any experience with a high count , is this high enough to be worried about ?
