Could the mini pill be affecting my libido?

So I'm almost finished my first pack and I've noticed a massive decrease in my libido. Prior to starting the pill dp was using condoms and we was doing fine, my sex drive was through the roof and we was having sex almost every night. Since starting the mini pill I've completely lost it, have no thoughts of wanting to do it and will happily get in bed roll over and go to sleep, which is hugely different to before. I'm starting to think it's not for me and that I should stop it and go back t condoms but I'm terrified of getting pregnant as we are done with having kids and I've got an appointment to see my gp to talk about being sterilised.
My question is has this ever happened to anyone else? Or should I just stick it out?

I would give it another couple of months and see. You could ask your DP to get the snip.

I’d give it a little longer as it may be a simple case of hormones getting used to the mini pill. I was very similar to yourself when I first started taking it. I’ve always had a really high sex drive until that point

I found all hormonal contraception really reduced mine. I get a big increase in sex drive from around day 6 to day 18ish of my cycle, clearly tied to lead up to ovulation and days after. Without that natural change in hormones, my sex drive is just gone. We were done having dc so dh had a vasectomy (as was way less invasive for him to do it than for me to do it).

Nope if anything it just ground to a halt and never recovered! Stopped taking it in the end BUT I am nearly 12 weeks pregnant so that’s not the best advice 😁

I hate contraception. I've not put anything in to body for a year and I was having so much fun and felt great. Condoms we're fine but they made me paranoid so thought I'd try the mini pill because the combined pill turned me into a psycho

I'm not even feeling confident about being sterilised after reading a thread this week of a lady who has fallen pregnant 4 years on from hers

Will your dh not get snipped?

@Girliefriendlikescake he's 27 and we're not married and don't intend to be. If we split up I know I'd definitely not want children with someone else, he's not sure so is against getting the snip.
