Injuries from accident

I was involved in an accident a couple.of days ago. Broken leg but otherwise cuts and scratches. On the day, I felt ok except broken bone, but as the days have gone on I've been feeling sick each morning, have a constant headache over my eyes, ear ache and a sore neck. I went to GP yesterday who wasn't concerned at all. In also really teary :(

I feel a complete, sore, mess :(

Is my headache normal and ok? Is it normal to feel sick after an accident? Why do my ears heart/feel weird?

Have you been been in a road accident, and how did you feel afterwards?

They're all things I get when the muscles around my neck are tense. It would make sense the discomfort not kicking in for a while as you're in shock.

Did they check your neck at the hospital?

No, the hospital were focussed on my broken bones (leg/foot/ankle region), and on the day the rest of me felt fine (although I was quite shaky/cold and teary, but neck etc.. all felt fine so no-one checked)

Did you knock your head during the accident? If you're not sure that you didn't, get yourself to A&E or a minor injuries unit (the queues are shorter!)

Yes Spoon,I'm pretty sure I did hit my head. DH thinks I should have some kind of scan to check everything is ok, bit doc wasn't worried. She's normally a good doc, so maybe I should trust her, but I have a niggling worry something isn't right

You really should get it checked. Head trauma can show up this long after an event. At the very least call 111 unless it's all sorted by now!
