Verucca tips

Do you or a family member have a stubborn verucca?

Me too !!! .... or I did have. I spent over £400 going to a clinic once a fortnight to have it frozen but this did nothing to the verucca (different story on my bank balance!!) Eventually a nurse told me that the best way to get rid of it was to suffocate it - a verucca needs a good air supply to thrive. The advice was to cover it with gaffer tape (yes, the grey stuff that's in your shed) as a means to deny it any oxygen.

In more detail ... use an emery board to take off the top layer of skin, then apply something slightly acidic - I was advised to use apple cider vinegar on a small piece of cotton wool pad. Leave the cotton wool on the verucca then cover it in a big piece of gaffer tape (yes, really) and repeat every two or three days for a fortnight.

Wait a few weeks and your verucca has gone!! And you just saved all that cash that would have been spent at a clinic!
