It went through the machine twice, so the good news is that it's sparkly clean...

What do I do? A quick google says that drying it out may save it, but I'm not sure a thorough double soaking falls under that advice.

Anyone else done this? Was luck on your side?

Put it in a tub with some rice and hope for the best. If it was a NHS one then just ask for a replacement.

It is NHS... will rice it this afternoon. Thanks! Did yours work after the rice?

I've done it twice (kids + tiredness). Each time I buried it in rice for a few days and changed the batteries. It still works!

BTW: it can easily take up to four days. If it's still dead when you first try it, dry for a bit longer.

Home insurance cover it?

SauvignonBlanche · 14/09/2019 13:37

I’ve done that a couple of times, they dried out eventually.

Thank you, all! I will sit back and wait. Nice to know there is hope Grin

I don't believe it... it works already! It was on the windowsill in parts, in the sun, thought I'd try it as it looked dry enough.

These things are incredible!
