I had a reminder for mine when pregnant with dd. Mw said it was perfectly safe but I still didn't like the idea so waited and had it done at my 6 week doctors check after dd was born.

If you're not pg at the mo can't you make an appointment for just after your af? They are usually understanding about booking in advance for a particular date to fit in with cycles.

Yes, i will if AF comes ... but if it doesnt come and i am pg do i have it done whilst pg or wait 9 months till my neXt one?

Smear tests themseves are safe to do in pregnancy and if you are trying to conceive then it may be a good idea to have one as part of your pre-conceptual care. Some people argue that the reasons why smear tests are not done in pregnancy are that if abnormalities are found, it is better to wait until after the baby is born to start treatment. However I have seen various types of treatments performed on pregnant women, so it depends on where you go and who you see. HTH.

Well, I had a smear mid-cycle when ttc and that was the month I got pg - so maybe it actually could help!
