Treatment for piles?

Sorry if anyone is eating lunch...

I have one external fourth degree pile. It doesn’t really cause me any issues, but for (hopefully) obvious reasons, I want rid of it!

I showed my GP a couple of years ago and he said it was fine. I’m not sure if you can get such things sorted on the NHS anymore?

Has anyone gotten rid of one? Was it painful?

And also, if anyone has any advice on using private healthcare, that’d be useful please. Have looked on the Bupa website and can get a GP appointment for £70. This may be an avenue I go down for ease but it’s all unknown territory!!!

Thanks anyone!
