I've had a couple removed over the last year or so and really these days it's a pretty quick and painless thing. What are you going to replace the lost tooth with?

As far as I know nothing. It's the last molar on the bottom left.

Although the dental nurse and I were talking and she agreed with me that my wisdom tooth will probably grow into the space.

I have no wisdom teeth (34y/o) as there is no room in my mouth (not the reason for the removal - tooth is cracked) so they grow up a bit and break the surface and go back down every couple months

I had a wisdom tooth out yesterday morning I was terrified! I had two injections to numb it and three quick pulls and it was out totally painless. You will feel a bit of crunching which is strange but honestly it's so quick over in a minute so much easier than a filling! It bled a little bit for an hour or two but I've had no pain at all so try not to worry you'll be fine.

Easy peasy. The injections are uncomfortable, but they make sure you don't feel anything except a bit of pressure. It's over before you know it and usually feels much better afterwards.
