Hair thinning

I'm 29 and for the past 3 months my hair has been thinning at a rapid pace. Every time I brush it or wash it loads fall out. I've started a receding hairline. Bloods at the Doctors showed nothing, they have tested thyroid, diabetes, coeliac, iron, full blood counts and hormones.

What could be causing this and will it grow back. Otherwise I'm healthy but bmi is 33

Have you got some blood results for your ferritin levels?

About 10 years ago my hair started to drop out and I discovered my ferritin was 16 when it should be nearer a 100. Low ferritin can cause hair loss as can low vitamin D. So check your levels.

Stress? I don’t think a high BMI is linked with hair loss.

Could you have a leaky gut and are therefore not absorbing all the hair related nutrients from your food? Do you have mucus in your poo? Have you ever had swine flu?

Are you on any contraceptives?
