Allergic reaction or coincidence?

Yesterday OH got bitten by a gnat. After he was complaining he felt sick and had a headache.

Today he's vomited twice and still feels sick.

Is this an allergic reaction or just a coincidence and he has a bug?

www.nhs.uk/conditions/insect-bites-and-stings/

I had an insect bite on sunday. On Monday all my joints hurt like I had the flu but without any of the other symptoms of flu. Didn't realise it was a large localised reaction to the bite.

He said he feels fine and his headache has gone but he feels sick and is being sick.

The other thing it could be is if he's had anything containing milk but I don't think he has.

Still not sure if it's a bug or allergic reaction. As he is still feeling sick. But if it was an allergic reaction surely it would've stopped now because it was Tuesday he got bitten.
