On holiday, possible UTI

I'm on holiday in Wales. No 111 and the website I'm supposed to symptom check on doesn't recognise the postcode of the area.

Hurts when I pee. Throbbing down there. Cloudy pee. Strange smelling pee. Since yesterday but put it down to hot weather and not enough drink at first but I feel worse.

I also have diabetes type 2.

It's bank holiday Sunday evening. I can't do anything now but if it is a UTI will I need out of hours GP tomorrow?

Yes you'll need antibiotics. I get a UTI about twice a year and I always get antibiotics from Superdrug online or Lloyd's chemist online and keep them with me when I go away so if I feel one coming on I take them straight away. Otherwise I end up in your situation which is really no good for me.

Cranberry juice has no effect for me and my urologist actually told me it is pointless unless you're drinking gallons as a preventative (rather than a cure).

Thanks for the reply

The timing couldn't be worse. I have no idea where the out of hours GP is going to be!

Gonna ring first thing and hopefully sleep through the stabby pains. Confused

Do you have any bicarbonate of soda? A teaspoon of that in a glass of water helps me! 😊 hope you feel better soon xx
