Embarrassing Question??

Hi,
Hoping someone can help with this embarrassing question....

Had a poo this morning, it hurt and there was quite a lot of bright red blood. Went again same thing.
3rd time felt like I needed a poo but couldn't but more blood came out.

Although I'm due on, it isn't a period and is definitely coming from my bum.

Do I need to do anything??

It will probably be piles OP. I get the same sometimes. Even if you can’t see them externally there is probably some internally.

As the previous poster has said it most likely is piles but perhaps a visit to your GP wouldn't hurt, so to speak. It's a bit embarrassing and a little uncomfortable when they examine you but at least they will give you something on prescription to get rid of it.

Its probably piles. But any unusual bleeding or change in your normal bowel habits is what a GP is there for

ChaosInTheMugCupboard · 24/08/2019 14:12

Might be an anal fissure. Eat lots of fibre and drink lots of water. And go see your gp, just to be on the safe side.

anyidea123 · 24/08/2019 14:16

Do you take anything to treat piles or do they just go away?
Was hoping I wouldn't need to go to the GP 😳

More water. Lots of it.

You can get creams from chemist. They can work well but GP is good call as they will check it is deffo piles. Does sound like piles though. Can be very very painful.

Dammit guess I'm going to the GP Monday then 🤦‍♀️
Thanks all! Thanks

I thought I had piles and put up with it, used creams for months and it didn’t improve. After a visit to my GP (that wasn’t as embarrassing as I’d feared) it turned out I had a fissure. It was hellish, hope you get it sorted OP x
