Hi,

We are planning to make a video with the help of Public Health England (PHE) talking about the MMR vaccine.

The video will be presented by an immunisation expert. We'd like this video to address as many as your concerns or questions as possible - so we'd love for you to let us know in this thread what you'd like this video to cover.

In case you missed it, we ran a survey about your thoughts on the vaccination - the results are here

Thanks,
Josh

I have zero concerns about it.

I have MASSIVE concerns about anti vaxxers and their tin hats and irresponsibility.

I have had all my vaccinations but for some reason, still not resistant to german measles. And I've had scarlet fever too - I would not want to repeat that and the thought of my DD having it - horrific.

Sorry, I have no concerns either. I've been left with serious sight issues after having measles.

hhmm - i recall the last time mumsnet did a q&a with a vaccine expert, that was interesting.

Can it be done earlier than 1 year?

With so many people choosing not to vaccinate I’m worried about taking my 9 month old to a crèche or softplay or similar where there’s a chance of unvaccinated kids being, so I’m holding off taking her until she’s had hers done.

Mrsmiauw a child won't respond so well to an MMR at under a year, as it still has some residual immunity from its mother. An MMR given under the age of one is discounted, and the child will receive 2 more doses as per normal schedule (12 months and 3.4 years)
