Is this worth a visit to the gp?

Or would I be wasting their time?

Dd has had a sore throat for 5 days. She's well in herself, and no white spots on her tonsils. But she has this near her tonsil. It almost looks like a blister?

Any idea what it could be please?

Thanks

I can't see the photo but if she has a sore throat you should bring her to the doctor.

Couls be tonsillitus. I'd see the gp unless there was a big improvement in pain by tomorrow. Could be bacterial and newd antibiotics

If doesn't look like it's on her tonsil but more on her uvula. It looks like an ulcer. Just to be safe take her to the doctors but I think they'll just tell you the same thing. Hope she's better soon x

Thanks for the replies.

In this photo you can see the two tonsils and the uvula. Then the red bulge with the white bit is in front of her left tonsil.

I suppose the only thing to do then is get an appt as it's not resolving itself. Thank you

That looks so painful, poor little DD. My DS has always had ulcers like this and gargling in warm salt water helps - but it depends on her age. He tends to get them when run down or about to be ill.
