Charcoal Toothpaste

My dentist has told me that the Charcoal Toothpaste is damaging my teeth. I thought he meant the toothbrush but no, definitely the charcoal toothpaste. Does anyone have any experience of this ? Thank you.

In what way? Is it abrasive?

I’ve been using a charcoal toothpaste and it has definitely made my teeth whiter. I’m not saying it hasn’t done damage, I mean it hasn’t that I’ve noticed but I guess it could be a longer term thing.. but that article says that it doesn’t make teeth whiter and it dod for me.
