Has Anyone Had a Septoplasty?

Hello,

My doctor has told me I need a septoplasty. Has anyone had one done and what should I expect.

I have to have a CT scan first too, is this usual?

Yes I've had one - you generally get 2 black eyes

Not had a CT scan though, did they tell you what they would be looking for

I have problems with my sinuses so he wants to have a look at them in a CT scan. Trouble is I am bit of a hypochondriac and think he is looking for something more sinister!!!
