DS has itchy feet - any ideas why?

DS (6) says the soles of both his feet are really itchy. He has been rubbing them on the carpet for relief and has had me scratch them which of course tickled and then I rubbed/massaged them quite hard for ages. Soon as I stopped they are itchy again.

Anyone heard of this?

He got stung on a toe by something in the garden yesterday - didn't cry or anything and we soaked his feet in cold water with vinegar. No redness or swelling from the sting and he says it is fine now.

I would say an allergic reaction to the sting, except the sting was on one foot and both his feet are itching. Is there something else he could have stepped on in the garden - a plant or something that has caused an allergic reaction?

I wonder if it's possible that the vinegar has cause the itchiness?

Did the itchiness start with the sting?
I would normally think it was athletes foot but since he got stung... I would go with an allergic reaction.

Yes! could be the vinegar I suppose. Duh!

Will try soaking feet without vinegar and give him some antihistamine.

Thanks!

Try soaking in salt water.
