Had a peppermint tea, then it must have abated a bit because I nibbled on a piece of roasted aubergine I was preparing for later. Followed by crippling pain again. I’m doubled up and tummy rock hard. Just had a glass of warm water with bicarbonate and did a huge burp. Currently lying down - I need remedies ideas please.

Sounds weird but when I had really bad gall bladder attacks I draped a cold wet cloth over my tummy. It really helped, I don’t know why. Might be worth a try.

Do not have milk
It really does depend what has caused ur indigestion ? Sometimes it’s milk products / chocolate / oily fish ie salmon / heavy Or fatty meal

mug of hot water - as hot as you can bear.

DH used to have an ulcer - only thing that did the trick.

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 02/08/2019 19:28

and don't lie down!

Sounds like gall bladder pain to me

birthdayblues31 · 02/08/2019 20:21

Milk neutralises the acid.

Thanks for all the advice, it's still there but much better pain wise, tummy just hard must be full of gas!

Lie on your left hand side with knees up to your belly and rock

Lots of water and you can buy omeprazole over the counter, not the cheapest but does work. If sticks around get to Doc to get it on prescription and so they can consider what is causing it. I have it, had all the cameras and have hiatus hernia which I'm guessing is cause.

When I was pregnant & had similar pains I red a tip about getting in a push-up position (on your knees not feet) & gently lower your upper body. Still works for me now Blush
