Can you get ulcers on gum below bottom teeth?

Sorry if this seems petty but it has had me worried and in pain today and now feeling run down.

It seems to be near that 'string' that starts at the bottom of the gum between middle two bottom teeth, on the side facing the bottom lip. Feels quite 'pully' at times, horribly sore. I can't put my toothbrush near it to massage the gum, it hurts too much.

Anyone had this before and does it just go away or do I need something for it? All replies appreciated. Grin ouch!

Yes, I used to get a lot of mouth ulcers all over my mouth, hasn’t happened for many years now but I remember how horrible they are. Use some corsydl (sp?) sorts it out pretty quickly.

Yeah I’ve had them there before, took a week or so to calm down had to use a lot of Bonjela!

Yes I get these when I’m a bit run down OP. Canker sores possibly? They hurt like hell but tend to go away after a few days. I rinse my mouth with salty water to speed up the healing process.

Yep anywhere in the mouth basically.
Bonjella can be used, or abesol or I found a basi mouth wash just as good. It will go on it's own But the others are pain killers.

Thanks a million everyone, it's really kind of you to share your experiences and put my mind at rest! I'm going to do the salt water rinse now and get some corsodyl gel tomorrow, then will report back Smile
